Muslim under spotlight [ Letters Index ]

I am a french engineer that live in Dubai. Nevertheless I am living in an Muslim environment I don’t have any problem of coexisting with them even if Muslim are opposite to my culture, my life style and mentality. Everybody lives in his own world, but there is no racial hate. I wonder why in the westerns country, where the talk is always open about immigration and where the politics appear to show a open mind and worries about people that move in, then the racism take place in particular against Muslim and here, where there is no way to talk about integration, I have non racial problem at all, even if they draw a clear line between me and them.

Answer

I don’t believe in racial hate. For which reason a Christian have to hate a Muslim or vice versa? The hate and the fear born when you are worrying about foreigner invasion that will change your life style and your rule.

When we read on a newspaper that many robbery take place with foreigners, then you can start to hate.
